Purpose

Start designing mockups for Project 2. Continue practicing evaluating designs and giving constructive feedback to classmates' designs. Incorporate feedback to improve one's design continuously.

Instructions

  1. In Figma, open the PROJECT - Desktop Wireframes page in Unit 2 Files. Copy all wireframe Frames, complete with any updates you made after receiving feedback from Week 7.
  2. Paste your wireframes into the PROJECT - Desktop Prototype page.
  3. Using your design system, transform the wireframe into a full-color mockup with images. Although you don't need to complete the final design, it should look as polished as possible.
  4. Once your mockup is complete, go into the new team in Figma that contains the Week 9: Wireframe Progress Feedback FigJam.

  5. Follow the instructions in FigJam to complete the activity.

  6. Note: You do not need to use your homepage for this assignment, if you would rather share another page in your design.

Submission

  1. Open the Week 7 folder in Blackboard
  2. Click on the Homepage Progress (FigJam) submission link.
  3. In the Comments box, type Done.
  4. Click Submit.s

Grading Criteria

Points Possible: 8

  • Mockup: Post includes mockup of website homepage. The mockup shows consideration of design concepts, i.e., heuristics, CTAs, imagery, color/contrast, information hierarchy, and iconography.

  • Feedback: Demonstrates analysis of group members' wireframes; provides helpful suggestions on how to improve the design and supports group members with valuable feedback in the form of "I like..., because", "I wish..., because", and "I wonder..., because" statements have been used.
